WELCOME

 

WELCOME is a new performance created by young dancers as part of the So You Wanna Work in the Arts programme, in partnership with the Korean British Cultural Exchange.

 

The work explores the excitement and uncertainty of stepping into unfamiliar places while imagining new possibilities. Inspired by the experiences, hopes, and creativity of young people, the performance invites audiences into a world that feels both familiar and unknown.

 

Led by multidisciplinary South Korean choreographer Gong Won, the piece combines traditional Korean rhythms with contemporary movement and K-pop influences. Created collaboratively with the dancers, it weaves together their stories, freestyle movement, and artistic voices.

 

WELCOME celebrates cultural exchange between Korea and the UK, offering a vibrant performance shaped by the imagination and energy of the next generation.
